Showbie is a great paperless option for students in grades K through high school. This app may not motivate the younger crowd unless you put in a little effort by adding incentives for turning in their work! Also, I only gave Showbie 2pts for differentiation because with the free version you are limited, such as, only being able to record 1 minute videos, but with the pro version you have unlimited options for differentiation. In all other areas Showbie really is a great app and website for going paperless. Another way Showbie can be used is to customize instruction for all students, by uploading instructions, videos and worksheets right into different folders for all students to work independently, easily and efficiently without having to interrupt the teacher who is instructing other students. Showbie allows students to not only to obtain information but they are also able to send documentation of their work to their teacher. I think my favorite part is being able to check in and communicate with students even when I am not at school. Students and teachers can easily communicate through voice notes and comments within the Showbie app. By far Showbie is one of my favorite communication tools to use with students.
